Elle Midi Dress

A formal midi dress lives or dies on where it stops, and the Elle knows it. The hem lands at the calf and a high slit runs up from there, which is the only detail this design needs.

Those two elements do opposite jobs: one keeps the shape covered, the other lets it move. Take either away and the balance goes with it.

It is one clean idea, followed all the way through.
